StreetHippo Ventures is an investment and advisory services company focused on consumer, marketplace, enterprise tech, and fintech ventures. Over time, we'll also get into breakdancing lessons on an old school cardboard mat and discuss the best ways to avoid acquaintances at any gathering.
Portfolio/Clients include Zeck, Kensho (acquired by S&P Global), 100 Thieves, Tala, Detroit Venture Partners, The Archivist, GoodLeap, Floyd, CrowdRise (acquired by GoFundMe), EDO, Baswood, Moosejaw (acquired by Walmart), GoFundMe, Mighty, Stax, and William Murray Golf.
The founders of StreetHippo Ventures are Robert and Jeffrey Wolfe. The Wolfe Brothers founded Moosejaw and CrowdRise. Moosejaw is a multi-channel outdoor retailer. CrowdRise is a crowdfunding platform for corporations, celebrities and endurance events to raise money for charitable causes. CrowdRise co-founders are actor/activist Edward Norton and activist/producer Shauna Robertson. Investors include Fred Wilson (Union Square Ventures), Bijan Sabet (Spark Capital), Danny Rimer (Index Ventures), and Bezos Expeditions.
In 2017, Moosejaw was acquired by Walmart, and three weeks later, CrowdRise was acquired by GoFundMe. We celebrated with three Dairy Queen Blizzards and found an old pic of us with Barry Sanders that we gave to our mom.
